Travel health

  • Jet lag is common when travelling across 5 or more time zones. Melatonin 3mg tablets are available, to be taken for 5 days after arrival at your destination and 5 days after returning. Up to 20 tablets can be supplied at once when 6mg dose is required. See prices here.

  • Altitude sickness is common at 2500m and above. Up to 10 days worth of treatment can be supplied. See prices here.

  • There are several options available for malaria prophylaxis. We offer doxycycline, Malarone, and mefloquine. Please enquire with us to agree on a suitable treatment as each have different age minimums and administration methods.

Traveling to Mecca for Hajj or Umrah? Our comprehensive travel plan can help.

Saudi Arabia requires every visitor traveling for the purpose of Hajj or Umrah to have a Meningitis ACWY vaccine at least 10 days before arrival due to the increased risk of infection spread in mass gatherings. We provide this vaccine for £55 and online access to your vaccination certificate through our partner PharmaDoctor.

Additional vaccines recommended for travel to Saudi Arabia include diphtheria-tetanus-polio, MMR, and Hepatitis A&B. Given the infection risk being up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccination and seasonal flu vaccination is also recommended.

Period delay medication is also available from ages 16+ which will allow patients to delay menstruation for up to 14 days. Rest assured that menstruation will occur when the medication is stopped and this medication is very safe to use.
